Famous for Cabernet Sauvignons that exhibit power and grace, the Stags Leap District first garnered attention for its wines in 1976 when Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars took first place with their Cabernet Sauvignon at the famous Paris Wine Tasting. At a rematch ten years later, the winner was yet another wine from the Stags Leap District: the 1972 Clos Du Val Cabernet Sauvignon!
